Kian has been messing around in his dad’s workshop since he was a little boy. Inspired to find a simpler and greener way to live he built his first wagon on top of a windy hill in Devon. It made a happy home and featured in Lloyd Kahn’s latest book ‘Tiny Homes on the Move’. He has recently returned from living in Tonga in the South Pacific, making things, fixing things, and homeschooling the kids. He is passionate about finding different ways to live and always has a new project on the go.
Joe has been making things for the last fifteen years. During that time he went the States to live in the Oregon forest and learn about natural building and horticulture. He built his wagon at the same time as Kian and then lived in it whilst helping to set up a farm with friends in Devon. He now lives in a 16th century cottage in Moretonhampstead with his Collie Dympsy. He has a son called Isaac.
Milo has lived in off-the-grid building he’s built himself for the last eight years . He started out in a two story tree house in a big beech tree. He’s excited about making structures that sit in their surroundings and bridge the gap between the artistic and the practical. He lives on the ground now in a simple and beautiful turf roofed cabin with his cat Tia.
